nextframe, is a multi-media design agency I started in San Francisco 2008. I worked with a small team of other creatives, managing and designing projects from print to websites to display ads.

Making a case for re-platforming. While with FTD Co, I led a team of creatives and ux designers to develop a presentation showing the benefits of re-platforming our sites. With an overwhelming amount of competition in the e-commerce space we established a need for sites to go beyond easy-to-use and laid out four defining characteristics of a site that would have customers coming back; immersive, intuitive, informational and delightful. Located in La Mesa, CA, The La Mesa Hot Sauce Co. is a start up currently offering one exceptional habanero hot sauce. It took more than two years to perfect the recipe and unique process, the sauce is fermented then aged. The fermentation process takes a simple combination of fresh ingredients and turns it into a sauce with depth and layered flavors. The mark is rooted in how the sauce is made and why the owner started the company. The triangle in the mark is representative of both Delta (the mathematical symbol for change) as well as the alchemists symbol for fire. Because the development of the sauce led the owner down a long strange path to starting a company, the rabbit is used as a loose reference to Lewis Carroll's White Rabbit in Alice In Wonderland.
